Trigger is a satirical concept created for Deceit, an art project about the patterns of manipulation in institutional technology. There is no real recovery product behind this page. Nothing entered on this site — signup, checkout, or the chat widget — is stored or sent anywhere outside this browser tab.

You log your cravings. the app identifies "trigger patterns": locations, times, "emotional states." the patterns are shared with your accountability team. jake thought this would help people "understand their triggers." jake didn't think about what happens when your trigger is "being around your family." the app now has a category called "family." jake doesn't know what to do with it. jake moved on to the next product.
